Criminal Law

Being charged with a criminal offence can be the most difficult, embarrassing, and traumatic experience a person can go through. If you have a loved one that is charged with a criminal offence, you may also experience the stress and embarrassment of the situation. You may find yourself asking questions like “is this really happening” or “why is this happening”, or any other of the dozens of thoughts and questions that go racing through your mind if you or your loved one is charged or arrested.

The one thing that is for certain is, only a lawyer can help you reduce the stress and anxiety by providing you with much needed legal advice and guidance with the situation.

You may think that ‘this is a minor charge’, and that you don’t need a lawyer, or perhaps you think that ‘only guilty people need a lawyer and I am innocent’. What you need to know is that even the minor offences can have long-lasting consequences for you. So before you decide that you do not need a lawyer, ask yourself these few questions:

  • How do I protect my legal rights against those charges?
  • What are the long term consequences for me of being convicted?
  • How will my life and the lives of my loved ones be affected by this?
  • How will my life change if I am convicted?

Whatever your situation is, we are here to help you protect your rights and look after your interests.
